Salvation Prayer
Entering the Kingdom of God: What Salvation Is and How to Receive Jesus Christ
What Does It Mean to Enter the Kingdom of God?
Jesus often spoke about the Kingdom of God—not as a physical place, but as a spiritual reality where God reigns as King and His people live under His loving rule. To enter God’s Kingdom means to step out of darkness and into the light, to move from death to life, and to begin a relationship with Him that transforms every part of who you are.
But how do we enter this Kingdom?
Jesus gives us the answer clearly in John 3:3:
“Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
Being “born again” isn’t about physical birth—it’s about spiritual rebirth. It’s receiving a new heart and a new life through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for your sins and rose again to give you eternal life.
What Is Salvation?
Salvation is God’s gift to mankind. It’s how we are rescued from sin, forgiven, reconciled with God, and granted eternal life.
Romans 3:23 says:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
And Romans 6:23 continues:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
We cannot save ourselves through good deeds, religion, or morality. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus alone:
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” —Ephesians 2:8–9
How Do I Receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior?
Salvation is simple but profound. God is not asking for perfection. He’s asking for faith. If you recognize your need for Him and believe that Jesus died and rose again for you, you can receive Him right now.
Romans 10:9–10 says:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
Pray This Prayer of Salvation
If you’re ready to receive Jesus and start a new life, pray this from your heart:
“Dear God,
I come to You today, admitting that I am a sinner in need of Your grace.
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for my sins, and that He rose again from the dead.
I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. I turn away from my past, and I invite Jesus to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life.
From today, I choose to follow You.
Thank You for saving me. Thank You for giving me a new life.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
